Position Summary

Position is responsible for performing functions and various tasks as assigned to aid the PE department in designing new products, providing support for existing products, developing components for application to new or existing products, and cost reducing existing designs.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Work is typically routine in nature; non-routine situations are typically limited in complexity and frequency.
• Process engineering releases and create bills of material using Hydro‑Gear Product Lifecycle Management and engineering change programs.
• Execute teardown evaluations on tested product or customer‑returned product.
• Effectively communicate orally, electronically, and in writing the results of a product teardown and/or assembly.
• Assemble and prepare Hydro‑Gear products for testing.
• Process customer and in‑house engineering sample requests.
• Maintain and improve the condition of designated PE areas (teardown room, build room, etc.).
• Replenish stock of expendable items in designated PE areas.
• Consistently arrive at work on time.
• Follow instructions and respond to management direction.
• Takes responsibility for own actions.
• Complete tasks on time or notify the appropriate requester with an alternative.

Prerequisites and

Qualifications:

• Familiar with various Hydro‑Gear products and processes.
• Ability to teardown units and compile data.
• History of building good work relationships with coworkers.
• History of learning and excelling with new programs (computer).
• Deadlines met on time.
• Basic computer skills.
• Proficient with Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
• Mechanical understanding of basic teardown tools.
• Ability to complete basic analysis and reports.
• Ability to act with a sense of urgency.
