Sr. EHS Specialist

Overview

In business since 1935, Daubert Chemical Company is a profitable, family‑owned specialty chemical manufacturer and a market leader in the brands we sell to end users and distributors. We are seeking an experienced senior‑level Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to work onsite at our plant near Midway Airport.

As the Sr. EHS Specialist, you will lead EHS initiatives, managing the regular working hours Monday through Friday (arrival before 8 am) with occasional off‑hour support. Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading the EHS program and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Overseeing workplace safety, hazard identification, and incident investigation.
• Co‑ordinating training programs and continuous improvement activities.
• Monitoring and reporting on EHS performance metrics.

We are looking for minimum years related experience in a chemical company, minimum 8 years in logistics and/or warehousing; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior lead or management experience is required. DOT certification strongly preferred. We prefer a Bachelor’s degree.

• Proficient in Microsoft Suite, including SharePoint; working knowledge of internet, intranet, data entry and reporting;
  Word and Excel intermediate level is highly desired.
• Understanding of managing data and flows in an ERP system.

• Ability to train, develop employees and give constructive feedback.
• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills across functions.
• Ability to multi‑task, delegate functions and problem‑solve creatively.
• Excellent written, verbal and listening communication skills.
• Travel occasionally to 3PL partner warehouses required.

• Salary range: $105,000 – $138,000
