We are seeking a results-driven District Sales Manager (Commercial) to strengthen our relationships and execution excellence with commercial contractors, grain elevators, processors, Co-Ops, and agronomy retailers. Under the direction of the Director of Commercial Sales, this individual will lead regional business development efforts, coordinate project pursuit and execution with contractors, and ensure our company delivers best-in-class commercial grain handling, storage, and fertilizer solutions.

This is a critical hire as we elevate our commitment to contractor partnership, project responsiveness, and market share growth across North America’s commercial grain and fertilizer industry.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with key commercial contractors, engineering firms, Co-Ops, and fertilizer retailers to drive repeat and referral business.
  • Serve as the primary commercial sales contact for assigned territory, ensuring timely, professional communication and technical support from concept through commissioning.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams (Engineering, Project Management, Aftermarket, and Manufacturing) to ensure seamless project delivery and exceed contractor expectations.
  • Lead bid strategy and proposal development for large-scale storage, handling, and conditioning projects.
  • Provide insight and feedback from the field to help shape commercial pricing strategy, product development, and service offerings.
  • Track and analyze contractor and project pipeline performance; maintain CRM data accuracy.
  • Support commercial training for internal staff and dealer partners to elevate technical and execution capability.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and technical conferences to strengthen brand visibility and credibility.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Engineering, Construction Management, or Business, or equivalent field experience.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in commercial grain storage, handling, fertilizer or agricultural construction industries.
  • Proven record of building contractor and end-user relationships and managing complex, multi-phase sales cycles.
  • Understanding of commercial grain facility design, material flow, and equipment integration (conveying, conditioning, storage, automation).
  • Strong business acumen, negotiation, and project coordination skills.
  • Excellent communication, technical presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of operating independently while collaborating effectively across functions.
Compensation and Benefits

Expected annual salary for this role will be $65,000 – $90,000, plus performance-based sales commissions. This is dependent upon job related knowledge, experience, skills, territory performance, and technical capability.

Benefits will include the ability to elect health care and wellness plans, dental and vision plans, flexible and virtual work options (where available), 401(k) Savings Plan with company match, paid holidays, paid time off, health savings and flexible spending accounts, reimbursement for continuing education, life insurance, and other supplemental insurance plans.

Workplace and Travel

This position is classified as remote/field-based, with travel throughout the assigned region to meet with commercial contractors, end users, and internal teams. Occasional travel to manufacturing and engineering sites is required. Expected travel to be 25% – 50%.
