Job Title: Supervisory Aide
Reports To: Building Principal
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Work Schedule: Follows the Student Calendar. Anticipated 4.0 hour days (11:30am - 3:30pm)
Pay Range follows the Supervisory Aide Pay Schedule ($ per hour - based on experience). Board paid IMRF available.
Job SummaryUnder the direct supervision of the building Principal, to assist in supervising student health/safety needs and maintaining an orderly and safe atmosphere on the playground and in other designated locations by helping and supervising students at non‑instructional times and playtime in accordance with Board policy and established district procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Assists in supervising the playground and study area.
- Assists in supervising students before, during and after meal time (as needed).
- Ensures that students follow the behavior expectations for after school activities.
- Assists with supervising students throughout the building, and escorting students to the pick‑up area.
- Reports to principals as appropriate regarding infractions, safety concerns, injuries, or other issues involving students.
Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal.

Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. Successful prior experience working in a supervisory position in a school district or with children is preferred. Certification/License:
Paraprofessional or Substitute License is preferred.

This position requires the individual to work in a standard school environment and specifically in the health room. The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires reasonable duration of sitting, walking, and standing.
The job is performed under a generally hazard free environment.
