Base pay: $44.00/hr – $48.00/hr
20‑week contracts
$3,000 assignment bonus available

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree related to Education from an accredited college or university
• Professional Educator License (PEL) from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE)
• Teaching Certification with Learning Behavior Specialist I Endorsement
• Experience with students on the autism spectrum and communication disorders (preferred)

• Deliver specialized support, instruction, and advocacy for students with disabilities to promote academic and personal development.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members and student guardians to develop and implement effective Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
• Participate in IEP meetings and work closely with multidisciplinary teams to support each student's goals.
• Complete lesson planning and IEP writing.
• Document progress of students and develop data collection procedures.

Special Education Teacher for a classroom serving students on the autism spectrum and those with communication disorders. Classroom will be 10 students with 7 adult staff. Teacher will be responsible for lesson planning, IEP writing, managing staff and behavior plans.
