Job Title: Over-Enrollment Elementary Instructional Assistant

Starting Pay: $13.25 /hour

To support the teaching and administrative staff in delivering instruction and supervision to students, particularly in classrooms impacted by over‑enrollment.

• Assist with group and one‑on‑one instruction.
• Read to students and listen to them read.
• Monitor and support student completion of assignments.
• Work with small groups for skill reinforcement or remediation.
• Provide immediate feedback and adaptive strategies to meet diverse learning needs.

• Monitor and adjust student behavior as needed.
• Supervise students during lunch, recess, and transitions.

• Help develop learning centers and activity packets.
• Correct papers, file materials, and update bulletin boards.
• Duplicate and distribute classroom materials.

• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the building principal or designee.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with young children is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and cooperatively.
• Effective communication, confidentiality, and basic academic skills.
• Physical ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must pass all required background checks and clearances (Act 34, Act 114, Act 151, Act 168).
