Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Science Instructor to implement a standards-based curriculum tailored to the needs of our students. This role supports academic achievement and reinforces positive behavior, contributing to a safe and caring school community.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver effective lesson plans
- Monitor academic progress and tailor instruction as needed
- Provide extra academic support outside of class time
- Promote respectful and appropriate student behavior
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the learning environment
- Participate in professional development activities
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
- Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) or the ability to obtain it
- Minimum of 21 years old
- Prior experience working with youth preferred
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Must pass DCFS background check and fingerprinting
- Competitive salary per Teacher Salary Schedule
- Full benefits package effective the first of the month following hire
