Job Description: The Assistant to the Chairperson of the Shimer Great Books School helps maintain the smooth functioning of the School's day‑to‑day operations, particularly through maintaining non‑sensitive records and other office duties; manages the School's social media accounts and other promotional materials; develops and runs events on behalf of the School's students, alumni and prospective students; liaises with the Department of Admissions on events for prospective students;

and maintains the School's social spaces in Seybert Hall.

Job Qualifications:

• Must be currently enrolled as a student at North Central College; preference will be given to students in the Shimer Great Books Program.
• Must be responsible, dependable, and willing to work.
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be punctual.
• Previous social media experience is desirable.
• Applicants must provide reference contact information from a Shimer Great Books Program faculty member.
