Overview
Black Hawk College seeks Adjunct Faculty/Part-time Instructor in Auto Mechanics at East Campus in Galva, IL. Review of applications will begin immediately.
Responsibilities- Encourage learning by preparing appropriate syllabi.
- Develop lectures, discussions, and other presentations or activities to enhance the students’ educational experience.
- Develop and execute appropriate methods of evaluating students’ performance.
- Develop, secure, and maintain the equipment and other instructional materials essential to the presentation of the classroom material.
- Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology with course work specialization in auto mechanics, and/or a minimum of five years work experience in the auto mechanics field is required.
- At least two years of work experience in auto mechanics is required.
- Previous teaching experience in Auto Mechanics at the community college level preferred.
- Must possess demonstrated oral English proficiency for classroom instruction.

Pay is commensurate with education and experience.
Minimum starting pay for adjunct faculty (as of Fall 2024):
- Less Than a Master’s Degree = $693.36 per equated hour
- Master’s Degree = $808.92 per equated hour
- Doctorate = $866.70 per equated hour
