Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Special Education Teacher (2- 1 HS, 1 ELEM) at TRICO COMMUNITY UNIT SCHOOL DISTRICT 176, located in Campbell Hill, IL. The Special Education Teacher will be responsible for developing and delivering individualized education plans (IEPs), creating engaging lesson plans tailored to students with special needs, and collaborating with school staff and families to support student success.

Responsibilities include monitoring student progress, implementing effective teaching techniques, and addressing the unique learning needs of middle school students with disabilities.

Qualifications
  • IL PEL WITH LBSI Endorsement(s), Pass Background Check, Experience Preferred
  • Proficiency in teaching and instructional strategies, with experience in middle school education
  • Expertise in Special Education, including understanding and addressing the needs of students with disabilities
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with students, families, and colleagues effectively
  • Knowledge of developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and working within special education frameworks
  • Patience, adaptability, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive educational environment
  • State certification in Special Education or eligibility to obtain certification
