Qualifications
State of Illinois Paraprofessional Certification.
Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Experience related to classroom instruction.
Reports ToOther qualifications as determined by the school board.
Building Principal
Performance Descriptors- Facilitate technology lessons in partnership with the classroom teacher in grades K-5.
- Support the implementation of technology curriculum aligned to the Illinois Learning Standards.
- Provide differentiated instruction and support to meet the diverse needs of students, including those requiring enrichment or intervention.
- Assist in the planning, preparation, and organization of materials and resources for technology lessons and activities.
- Promote student engagement, artistic exploration, and positive classroom management.
- Support classroom assessment practices by helping to monitor student progress and maintain documentation.
- Encourage a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and successful.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, interventionists, and specialists to support cross-curricular integration when appropriate.
- Assist with academic interventions when needed.
- Alerts the classroom teacher to any problem or special information about an individual student.
- Maintains work area and classroom as a safe and productive learning environment
- Participate in professional development and team meetings as assigned.
- Participates in parent problem-solving meetings.
- Maintains the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students as is expected of fully licensed teachers.
- Assists with the supervision of students during non-instructional times, including but not limited to, emergency drills, assemblies, play periods, and field trips.
- Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
- Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation, pertaining to teacher and students.
- Continuously strives to improve professional competence and collaboration with colleagues and communities.
- Implements all rules and regulations, policies and administrative guidelines as adopted by the School Board for the district.
- Maintains a professional appearance.
- Maintains regular attendance.
- Adheres to the professional code of conduct.
- Perform other tasks and assume other responsibilities as assigned by the administration.
Starting Salary: $17.94
July 1, 2026 - raise of $1.25 to $19.19 per hour
July 1, 2027 - raise of $1.25 to $20.44 per hour
(Previous experience a plus and to be considered)
Hiring Bonus$400 ($150 60 days from hire date, $250 on 1-year anniversary)

- The school board pays 90% of the premium for single coverage and 80% of the premium for the cost of dependents for medical and/or dental insurance.
