North Central College invites applications for an adjunct faculty pool in the English department. We seek qualified instructors to teach courses as needed on a semester-by-semester basis. Adjunct faculty may be asked to teach a variety of English courses, including composition, literature, creative and professional writing, and other related subjects, depending on departmental needs. Responsibilities include course preparation, instruction, grading, and student support.

Candidates must hold an M.A., M.F.A., or Ph.D. in related field. Applicants must demonstrate commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring of students. In the cover letter, please identify which courses are of interest and the expertise you would bring to teaching in this area.

Founded in 1861, North Central College is a nationally recognized institution of about 3000 students, located in Naperville, IL, a thriving suburb just west of Chicago.
