University Health Services (UHS) is an accredited on‑campus medical facility dedicated to addressing the various healthcare needs of UT Austin students. UHS provides comprehensive services, including general medical care, public health education and specialty clinics.
Counseling and Mental Health Center (CMHC) is an accredited on‑campus mental health facility dedicated to supporting the well‑being of UT Austin students. CMHC offers a range of services, including assessment and referral, group and individual counseling, psychiatry and well‑being services.

PurposeHelp shape a healthier, more connected Longhorn community. In this role, you’ll design innovative health education experiences, teach and mentor peer educators, and lead major campus‑wide wellness initiatives. If you’re energized by creative program design, student development, and building a culture of well‑being, this position puts you at the center of making UT Austin a place where students truly thrive.
Responsibilities Lead Innovative Health Education & Learning StrategiesDrive the creation of engaging, evidence‑informed learning experiences that help Longhorns thrive. You’ll shape campus wide health education strategies, design dynamic workshops, and build systems that ensure programs are high‑quality, accessible, and impactful. Partner with the LWC team to refresh content, evaluate effectiveness, and promote offerings across campus. Deliver compelling presentations and trainings for students, faculty, and staff, and develop measurable learning outcomes tied to core wellness topics such as social connection, suicide prevention, stress, sleep, healthy sexuality, and interpersonal violence prevention.
You’ll juli also help build a multimodal online health and wellness course and collaborate with communications and design teams to bring health education to life through digital abundant and innovative technology.
Co‑teach a three semester peer education course sequence and create an engaging, supportive learning environment for emerging student leaders. Guide peer educators through interactive lessons, professional development, and hands‑on project work. Strengthen the peer educator community through retreats, trainings, and social events, and lead recruitment efforts for new members. Develop course materials, training curricula, and evaluation tools that help students grow as confident, skilled health advocates.
OverseeOnline Health Education Modules for All Incoming Students
Take the lead on implementing UT Austin’s required online health education modules. Coordinate custom content, manage timelines, and collaborate with partners across campus to ensure a smooth, student‑centered rollout.
