Are you a motivated and experienced Interventional Cardiologist seeking a locum tenens opportunity to contribute to exceptional patient care in a dynamic healthcare setting? We're seeking a qualified physician to join our team and provide comprehensive cardiovascular services during a staffing need.

What You'll Do:

• Perform a variety of image-guided minimally invasive interventional procedures to diagnose and treat complex cardiovascular conditions in a well-equipped hospital near Benld, IL.
• Manage a diverse outpatient cardiology clinic, providing consultations, diagnostic testing, and preventive care for patients with a variety of cardiac concerns.
• Collaborate with referring physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized treatment plans for each patient.
• Participate in inpatient consultations and manage cardiac care for hospitalized patients within a dedicated 64-bed cardiac unit.
• Round on patients, monitor their progress, and make necessary adjustments to care plans.
• Interpret diagnostic studies and order appropriate tests and medications.
• Provide compassionate and supportive care to patients and their families.
• Maintain meticulous documentation within the Epic electronic medical record system.
• Foster a positive and professional work environment.

Qualifications:

• Active medical license in the state of Illinois (IL only).
• Board-certified in Internal Medicine with a fellowship in Interventional Cardiology (required).
• Current ABLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum credentialing time possible (temporary privileges may be available).
• Strong clinical skills and a comprehensive knowledge base in Interventional Cardiology and general cardiology, with expertise in performing minimally invasive procedures and managing diverse cardiac conditions.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and make critical decisions.
• Compassionate and empathetic demeanor when interacting with patients and families navigating cardiovascular health concerns.

  ASAP - Ongoing (assignment duration is flexible).
• Coverage includes major holidays (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, etc.) with a combined call and clinic schedule.
• The specific number of patients per shift will vary between 12-20 depending on the clinic and call workload.
