Locum Tenens Orthopaedic Surgeon Needed for Outpatient Call near Brussels, IL (j-227573) Are you a motivated and experienced Orthopaedic Surgeon seeking a fast-paced locum tenens opportunity to provide exceptional emergency care in a dynamic outpatient setting? We're seeking a qualified physician to join our team and ensure high-quality surgical intervention for orthopaedic emergencies during a short-term staffing need. What You'll Do:
Provide on-call coverage for a variety of orthopaedic emergencies presenting at our outpatient facility near Brussels, IL. Assess patients, diagnose injuries, and develop treatment plans for urgent orthopaedic conditions. Perform necessary procedures in a well-equipped outpatient surgery setting. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care for patients. Maintain meticulous documentation within the Epic electronic medical record system. Foster a positive and professional work environment.

Qualifications:

Active medical license in the state of Illinois (IL only). Board-certified in Orthopaedic Surgery. Current ACLS and BLS certifications. Minimum credentialing time possible (emergency availability). Strong clinical skills and a comprehensive knowledge base in Orthopaedic Surgery, with a focus on emergency care. Experience performing common orthopaedic procedures in an outpatient setting a plus. Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and make critical decisions.

ASAP - Ongoing (assignment ends July 8, 2024) Coverage includes major holidays (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, etc.) with a call schedule only. Temporary privileges may be available for qualified out-of-state candidates. This role is specifically for outpatient emergency care - you will not be required to round on inpatients.
