Wellhart is seeking a Physician specializing in Radiology for a locum tenens position at a hospital in Illinois. This 120-day assignment begins on 02/01/2026, and involves working evening shifts from 4 PM to 12 AM CST, seven days a week. The radiologist will be responsible for interpreting a variety of imaging studies, including CT, X-ray, Mammography, Ultrasound, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Fluoroscopy, and Interventional Radiology procedures.

The workload distribution includes approximately 34% CT, 37% X-ray, 9% Mammography, 9% Ultrasound, 5% MRI, 3% Nuclear Medicine, 2% IR, and 1% Fluoroscopy. This position requires expertise across multiple imaging modalities and offers the possibility of extension for the right candidate.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Interpret a wide range of diagnostic imaging studies, including CT, X-ray, Mammography, Ultrasound, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, and Fluoroscopy

• Perform and interpret Interventional Radiology procedures as needed

• Provide timely and accurate radiological reports

• Collaborate with referring physicians and other healthcare providers

• Ensure adherence to radiation safety protocols and quality control measures

• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as required

• Stay updated with the latest advancements in radiological techniques and technologies

• Maintain clear communication with healthcare team members and patients when necessary

• Adhere to all hospital protocols and safety standards

Additional Information:

• Must be licensed to practice in Illinois

• Board certification in Diagnostic Radiology is required

• Experience with a diverse range of imaging modalities is essential

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently during evening shifts

• Excellent communication skills for interacting with healthcare professionals
