St. Francis Hospital is a Catholic not-for-profit health care facility. The hospital is an affiliate of Hospital Sisters Health System sponsored by the Hospital Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis. The Hospital Sisters established St. Francis Hospital in 1875 in Litchfield, Illinois, with the mission of meeting the needs of those living within the two-county area. St. Francis Hospital is a fully licensed and accredited, not-for-profit health care facility that employs nearly 240 area residents and offers a full range of medical services, including a surgery center, cancer care center, state-of-the-art imaging, and physical, cardiac, and pulmonary rehabilitation.

It is the only hospital in the two-county area providing maternity services.

• Assist in directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department.
• Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures.
• Pre‑anesthesia assessment.
• Obtain and/or verify patient consent.
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient.
• Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia.
• Monitor the patient's physiological condition.
• Perform clinical interventions as needed.

• M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine.
• ECFMC and FLEX certification.
• Completion of approved residency in anesthesia.
• Currently licensed as a physician.

• Located halfway between St. Louis, Missouri and Springfield, Illinois. Serves the areas of Montgomery and Macoupin counties.

• Salary: $520K
• Sign‑on bonus: $50K
