Located 22 miles from Chicago at 227 Heritage Quarries Drive in the southwestern suburb of Lemont, this park features a versatile and wide-ranging mix of recreation including the world’s largest aerial adventure course, designed with accessibility and inclusivity in mind, along with archery, axe throwing, mountain biking, paddle sports, tactical laser tag, and more. With the mission to delight guests by providing transformational outdoor experiences built around personal challenges facilitated through an accessible community, the park also offers technology allowing those with disabilities the opportunity to participate in various experiences throughout the park.

Event Support Staff

Event staff members are integral to the operations of The Forge:
Lemont Quarries. Event staff members assist in running a multitude of tasks during our concert series and special event programming. These tasks will include checking in guests, ’ing guests, and of course serving our alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Team members will also be responsible for setting up and running our stands during concerts and programming.

This position is seasonal and starts in Spring/Summer of 2026!

PRIMARY

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Host responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Communicates with guests and other employees verbally and in possibly stressful situations to answer questions and provide clear direction and solutions with patience and tact
• Follows Local Operating Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures, and general safety regulations.
• Answers basic questions regarding the operation of the park and ropes course
• Assisting guests as they check-out, utilizing our point-of-sale system for both retail and F&B offerings
• Collect payment for drinks served and balance all receipts
• Ensure proper preparation and presentation of all F&B offerings
• Have knowledge of spirits/beer/wine, the ability to maintain an appealing and Guest-ready bar area and have outstanding service ability
• Maintains a knowledge of park offerings, amenities, events, as well as answers to frequently asked questions
• Acts as an ambassador of The Forge, informing guests not only about the adventure and entertainment experiences but also of the nature surrounding them once onsite
• Assess patrons and follow Dram shop law and state regulations in proper alcohol service.
• Screens, and assesses guests through observation and guest interaction
• Demonstrates the core values of The Forge:
  Lemont Quarries in guest and staff interactions
• Reports to F&B Lead and Managers, works closely with other event staff to ensure clear and consistent communication and services to guests
• Shows good stewardship of park equipment, facilities, and product
• Can/will be directed to complete tasks such as cleaning and breakdown
• Will assist with event or concert check in procedures
• Dependent on size of event or concert, may be asked to help with parking lot duties

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be 21+ years of age
• Prior experience selling alcoholic beverages in a club/concert venue preferred but not required
• Customer service skills required to answer guest questions and respond to guest complaints in a professional and courteous manner
