Under the guidance of our Recreation Coordinator
, you’ll help bring our summer recreation program to life – leading games, activities, and special events that encourage fun, confidence, teamwork, and personal growth for the youth in our care. You’ll gain hands‑on leadership experience while working alongside a supportive, mission‑driven team.

• Supervise and engage youth participating in the summer recreation program
• Actively lead games, group activities, and recreational events
• Model and teach appropriate social skills and positive behaviors
• Explain expectations clearly and help youth understand choices and consequences
• Create a positive, inclusive environment through encouragement, role modeling, and hands‑on participation
• Provide constructive feedback to support skill‑building and personal growth
• Reinforce positive behavior with praise and incentives; apply appropriate consequences when needed
• Utilize the Mooseheart Model of Care in daily interactions
• Maintain confidentiality of youth, staff, and organizational information

• Meaningful work that positively impacts children and teens
• Great experience for students or immigrating those pursuing careers in education, social work, recreation, or youth services

This role includes a mix of outdoor activities (occasionally exposed to weather conditions) and indoor work, with protection from the elements but varying temperatures.
