? Mooseheart Child City & School is hiring Family Teachers (live-in caregivers / youth mentors / residential counselors) to provide guidance, structure, and support for children and teens in a safe, family-style home environment.

This unique role is perfect for individuals or married couples who want to make a lasting impact as positive role models, child care professionals, and life skill teachers.

• Provide direct care and supervision for at-risk youth in a residential setting

• Create a supportive, structured home environment that promotes growth and stability

• Teach life skills, problem-solving, and healthy communication

• Support children through emotional and behavioral challenges

• Plan family meals, recreational activities, and enrichment opportunities

• Manage household responsibilities: budgeting, shopping, transportation, and appointments

• Collaborate with a team of youth care workers, educators, and staff

• Live-in residential caregiver role

• Rotating schedule: 5 days on / 2 days off (with an extra day off every 4 weeks)

• Daily routine includes:

  • Morning:
    Preparing youth for school

  • School hours:
    Paperwork, meetings, training, personal time

  • Afternoons/Evenings:
    Homework help, meals, family activities, life skills, relaxation

  • Weekends/Summers:
    Outings, sports, volunteering, and family traditions

• Salary: $43,500–$45,000
