Overview

Job Title: Automotive Service Advisor

Location: Manhattan KS
Compensation: $45 000 $ 95 000 per year including performance-based commission
Employment Type: Full-time

• Customer Liaison: Greet customers, listen to vehicle concerns and document service requests accurately.
• Service Estimates: Prepare detailed repair estimates explaining the necessity of services and maintenance based on manufacturer requirements.
• Workflow Management: Coordinate with technicians to monitor repair progress and provide timely updates to customers.
• Sales & Retention: Advise customers on preventive maintenance and additional needed repairs to ensure vehicle safety and performance.
• Administrative Excellence: Manage repair orders (ROs), process payments and verify warranty or service contract coverage.

  Ability to translate technical mechanical terms into easy-to-understand information for customers.
• Technical Aptitude: Basic understanding of automotive systems; e.g. ASE Certification is a major plus.
• Software Proficiency: Experience with dealership management systems (e.g. Reynolds & Reynolds CDK or VAST).
• Reliability: A valid driver's license with a clean driving record and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
