A Typical Day

As a seasonal Client Service Professional/Receptionist you will focus on wow-ing clients now and in the future. You’ll answer phones, greet visitors, match clients with the best‑suited tax professional, schedule appointments, and help ensure all client needs are met in person, over the phone, or virtually. You’ll also maintain office cleanliness and organization with team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answer phones and greet clients in a personalized, friendly, and inviting manner
  • Match clients with the best‑suited tax professional for their needs
  • Schedule clients how they would like to be scheduled
  • Help to ensure all client needs have been met during service both in person, over the phone or virtually
  • Maintain office cleanliness and organization of resources with team members
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work flexible schedule and/or in multiple locations
  • Sales/marketing experience
Experience and Skills
  • Experience working in a fast‑paced environment
  • Previous experience in a customer service environment
  • Ability to multi‑task
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills
  • Computer proficient with the ability to use Microsoft Office

Pay

Pay range: $11.00 - $27.00 per hour. Local minimum wage laws apply. Pay decisions depend on experience, education, skill, performance, and geographic location. Successful candidates may also participate in incentive compensation or short‑term incentive plans. Eligible associates can enroll in medical and prescription drug coverage, the H&R Block Retirement Savings Plan (401(k)), the Employee Assistance Program, virtual fitness center programs, and the associate discount program.

Certain benefits require additional eligibility.
