Position: Part-Time High School Administrative Assistant - 10 Month Position
Location: Dakota

Overview

Part-Time High School Clerical (10 months) – Position Type:
Secretary (10-Months): 2-3 days per week, 8 hours per day.

Location:

Dakota High School. Compensation Range: $15.50-$16.50 Per Hour.

Purpose Of The Position

Perform task-oriented clerical work in a school office. Provide assistance to school administrators, staff, students, and parents. Effective operation of a school office exercising initiative, confidentiality, and discretion in the performance of work duties. Work assignments are performed with some degree of independence based on knowledge and experience.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Interacts with public and employees in routine situations which require tact, discretion and courtesy.
  • Processes district documents.
  • Timely and accurately compiles and enters data into various computer programs/systems.
  • Maintains accurate records, files, lists, information and inventories.
  • Compiles and processes and/or analyzes information and data from various sources.
  • Conducts records management in accordance with state and district guidelines.
  • Accesses confidential information with discretion in regards to student records, attendance & discipline.
  • Monitors information regarding payroll, budgets, and purchase order inputs and processing.
  • Tracks and balances budgets/department expenditures if applicable.
  • Prepares, develops, creates and distributes reports, documents, and correspondence accurately and efficiently for distribution.
  • Processes fees, payments, purchase orders and documents related to the building or department.
  • Provides back-up and assists other Office Professionals as assigned.
  • Ensures that all actions are in concert with the Board policies as well as the mission statement, beliefs, objectives and parameters found in the Board's Keep Dakota Proud Plan.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED. Experience operating general office equipment including but not limited to scanner, fax machine, computer, printers and copiers, VOIP phone system. Working knowledge of current computer programs such as Microsoft Office, Skyward, and other windows based applications.

Length Of Work

10 months & sporadic days during summer months.

Working Conditions

Moderate in-district travel as well as intermittent in-state and out-of-state travel. Intermittent prolonged and irregular hours of work.
