Hirelevel is in search of a mid-level accounting clerk for our client in Roxana, IL to manage assigned partner and client accounts. Experience in a prior accounting role and/or completion or currently enrolled in an accounting education program is required. For example, ~2 years of accounts payable/accounts receivable experience with the ability to demonstrate a general understanding of basic accounting principles is necessary to be able to perform the job efficiently.

We are seeking an upbeat, solutions-oriented problem solver with excellent communication skills and the ability to self manage. This role may often be challenging, so you should be able to remain calm and polite in tough situations. If you have some experience in customer service and accounts receivable/payable, we’d like to meet you. Your goal will be to foster long-term relationships with partners and clients to help support a growing business.

Located in Roxana, IL, this headquarters doubles as a central billing office as well as a state-of-the-art PDR training facility. This company is built of 270+ partner/owner technicians operating across the country in over 38 states.

Responsibilities of the Accounting Clerk:
  • Processing invoices, recording business transactions; preparing financial reports and ensuring accuracy; professionally handling communications with partners, vendors and clients; managing accounts receivable and payable, expense reimbursement, profit processing and disbursement, and bank reconciliations.
  • Be the main point of contact for assigned customers and partners.
  • Respond promptly to customer queries and complaints to find solutions and maintain strong relationships; pass along issues to company partners when needed.
  • Ensure the highest level of accuracy by proofreading and double-checking all work prior to delivery.
  • Checking for accuracy in reports, figures and postings; reconcile and report any discrepancies found in the records.
Requirements of the Accounting Clerk:
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and terminology.
  • Experience in an accounting role with emphasis of customer service.
  • Proficiency with handling high-volume email correspondence.
  • Excellent typing skills and ability to navigate Windows 11 software.
  • Proficiency in Quick Books and MS Office with a strong emphasis on Excel.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint, One Drive and Google Business Suite.
  • Strong communication skills with a positive attitude.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities; self-motivated.
  • Ability to self-manage and prioritize time and tasks effectively.
  • Goal driven with ability to work under pressure.
  • Natural problem solver: solutions oriented.
  • High School Diploma: BSc/BA in Accounting or business is preferred
