Senior Accountant -Benton,, IL

This position is responsible for leading local accounting efforts of the Mincon Inc Benton Bits Division. The position requirements will include, divisional reporting and cost center control, control of product costing and variance analysis, cycle counting and quarterly physical counts, as well as other general Responsibilities as assigned. The position will be based in Benton Illinois and ideal candidate will have multiple years’ experience in accounting in a production environment in cost accounting within a manufacturing entity.

• Prepare Benton Division monthly reports required for Group Finance reporting
• Create monthly COGS reports & WIP
• Reconcile all ledger accounts including perpetual inventory to GL
• Create Inventory in Transit reporting and reconciliation
• Assist in Budget preparation and year-end audit documentation
• Treasury reports
• Control of Product Costing and Analysis:
• Monthly review of Gross Profit report – cost focus/fix errors or omissions in costing
• Analyze lot sizes of produced parts
• Review GM of invoiced sales; correct issues
• Analyze Scrap, PPV, freight, packaging, for improvement & awareness
• Analyze Job costing and WIP reports
• Complete all month end and year end analysis for audit review purposes

• Responsibility of establishing an auditable program
• Establish accountability for inventory transactions
• Assist in quarterly inventory process with Production Manager

• Generate, monitor, and analyze applied labor and overhead rates and absorption
• Manage intercompany billing process with Benton accounting team
• Manage cash forecasting for the Benton Division
• Coordinate accounting activities with Mincon Inc Financial Controller as well as various other projects as required and requested.
