Accountant (Full-Charge)
Location: Lake Bluff, IL

About the Role:
Our international manufacturing client is seeking a hands‑on, full‑charge Accountant to take full responsibility for the company's accounting operations. This is a standalone role —you will be the accounting department —so we are looking for a highly skilled, self‑motivated professional with strong general accounting experience and the ability to manage all aspects of accounting independently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform full‑cycle accounting duties including A/R, A/P, payroll entries, bank reconciliations, and general ledger management
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Any experience with product costing, inventory analysis, and margin reporting a plus
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting
• Ensure compliance with local and international financial reporting standards
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and global finance teams
• Implement and maintain accounting processes and internal controls

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred
• 5 + years manufacturing accounting experience
• Experience working independently or in a small team environment
• Strongly prefer candidates coming from a private company and not large corporate
• Proficient in accounting software, Excel etc.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
