Position OverviewThis role is an important member of the accounting and finance team, supporting both day-to-day financial operations and broader business initiatives. The position partners with multiple departments, including operations and business development, to help analyze financial performance and improve processes that drive profitability.
We are looking for a self-motivated professional who is analytical, organized, and comfortable working independently while collaborating across teams. This role also contributes to maintaining a positive, professional culture and a mindset of continuous improvement.
Standard business hours apply, with occasional extended hours during month-end or peak periods.
Key Responsibilities- Manage shared Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable inboxes and respond to vendor and customer inquiries
- Support collections activities and follow up on outstanding balances
- Assist with invoice and bill entry and resolve discrepancies in collaboration with AP/AR team members
- Oversee company credit card activity, expense tracking, and reconciliations
- Process employee expense reimbursements
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and prepare journal entries
- Support month-end and year-end close processes and reporting schedules
- Partner with accounting leadership on financial reporting and operational support
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in accounting processes and internal controls
- Assist with special projects and additional assignments as needed
- Strong bookkeeping and general accounting knowledge
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
- Highly organized with effective time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with accounting and ERP systems preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 3+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment is a plus
- Familiarity with ERP systems and accounting software preferred
