We value creativity, collaboration and a forward-thinking approach to technology. We are seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator with a strong cloud infrastructure background. You will play a crucial role in owning, designing, managing and optimising the databases and bridging the gap between development and operations.

• Strong proficiency in MySQL and MSSQL database management, with at least 3 years in a DBA Role
• Experience with design, build and configuration of a database system for high performance, availability, scalability within a microservice architecture across the Azure Cloud Estate
• Experience in Azure Cloud Database management
• Understanding MySQL/MSSQL underlying storage engines.
• Knowledge of de facto standards and best practices in MySQL and MSSQL Server
• Experience as a DBA in a cloud infrastructure environment.
• Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimisation (PTO) of database systems.
• Experience with backups, restores, and recovery models
• Desirable experience in HA/DR

• Database Administration:
  Manage, monitor, and optimize our database systems to ensure high availability, performance, and security.
• Database Design:
  Design and build a highly resilient database environment
• Cloud Migration:
  Lead and assist in the migration of databases in Azure, ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime.
• Collaboration:
  
  Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA, and system architects, to support application deployment and performance tuning.
• Continuous Development:
  Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge, sharing insights with the team.
• Documentation:
  Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to database architecture, Dev Ops processes, and migration strategies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Experience of Agile working would be advantageous.
