Key Stage 1 Supply Teacher - Ilkley

Academics are currently recruiting a reliable and adaptable Key Stage 1 Supply Teacher to support our partner primary schools in Ilkley and the surrounding Wharfedale area.

This role is ideal for a teacher with a strong understanding of KS1 (Reception, Year 1 and Year
2) who is confident stepping into a range of local primary schools and has a good understanding of how supply teaching works.

The successful candidate will:

• Have experience teaching across Key Stage 1
• Be confident delivering pre‑planned lessons and maintaining established classroom routines
• Demonstrate strong behaviour management and a calm, engaging teaching style
• Be flexible, professional and reliable for day‑to‑day, short‑term or long‑term cover
• Adapt quickly to different school settings within the Ilkley area

Academics works closely with a number of Ilkley‑based and Wharfedale primary schools, offering regular and flexible supply opportunities close to home.

• Competitive daily rates, dependent on experience and role (140‑170 per day)
• Opportunities for day‑to‑day, short‑term and long‑term placements
• Paid weekly via Academics
• Ongoing support from a dedicated local consultant
