This position will primarily perform routine and preventative tasks for the Engineering department. Maintenance shall include both mechanical and electrical work. The role will involve working in a high‑speed, high‑volume production environment. It operates on days with a 39‑hour working week Monday to Friday. Flexibility will also be required with some out‑of‑hours support, shift cover and call‑out being required at times.
KeyJob Accountabilities:
- Supporting the health, safety and environment (HSE) agenda within the team
- Support with risk and PUWER assessments
- Supporting the Extrusion Department
- Carrying out the site’s PPM schedule
- Die cleaning and routine maintenance
- Supporting other team members to achieve planned workload
- Diagnose breakdown issues, make repairs as necessary and seek assistance where required
- Contractor control
- Providing backup for the Engineering Team Leader as required
- 3 years experience in a similar role, having been involved with the maintenance of plant and equipment in a process plant
- Manufacturing / Engineering background
- Ideally multi‑skilled in both electrical and mechanical disciplines
- Electronic qualifications
- Analytical skills, organizational and good communication skills
- Enthusiastic and innovative approach to work
- Counterbalance FLT License (training can be provided)
- IT literate
