Supply KS1 Teacher – Ilkeston (DE7)
£700 – £900 per week, depending on experience

Connex Education is working in partnership with a number of welcoming Primary Schools across the Ilkeston (DE7) area, who are recruiting KS1 Teachers to work on a day-to-day supply basis. This role includes full classroom responsibilities during cover days, including delivering engaging lessons, maintaining a positive and structured learning environment, and supporting pupils’ academic and social progress. No lesson planning is required.

Primary Schools across Ilkeston are known for their inclusive, community-focused ethos and supportive staff teams. Schools are seeking dedicated, flexible, and enthusiastic teachers who can build strong professional relationships with pupils and colleagues while delivering high-quality and engaging KS1 lessons.

Roles are available on a part-time or full-time basis and run throughout the academic year. Opportunities include both day-to-day supply and longer-term assignments, allowing flexibility to suit individual availability and preferences.

• Experience working with children aged 4–7 in a UK primary school setting

• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

• Ability to deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons

• Knowledge of the KS1 national curriculum and phonics schemes such as Read Write Inc or Letters and Sounds

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
