We have an exciting opportunity for an Administrator to join the team at HMP Garth, a Category B male prison in Leyland.

The prison houses around 1500 men with a variety of health needs and within this role, you’ll play an integral part in providing exceptional care for our patients.

This is a fantastic opportunity supporting the mental health team onsite, being the first point of contact for the team!

Hours: This is a part time role, working 30 hours per week. You will work 4 days a week, and the days can be agreed fts are 08:00 - 16:00.

Salary: This position is part time, you’ll receive an annual salary of £25,821 - £28,574 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing
  • Provide excellent admin support to the Mental Health team onsite, acting as the first point of contact
  • Work on the healthcare system (Systm One) - inputting mental health referrals and ensuring records are accurate, as well as running reports
  • Attend Single Point of Access Meetings, taking away actions including referrals
  • Work with data provided by the team manager - investigating anomalies and produce reports
  • Dealing with healthcare colleagues and other professionals over the phone, face to face and via email, delivering a high level service at all times
  • Attend meetings and take minutes as necessary

Our new Administrator will have:
  • Experience with in an administrative role - any experience in a healthcare environment would be an advantage, such as a hospital or GP surgery
  • Any experience of using Systm One would be a bonus!
  • Minute taking experience would be beneficial
  • Be happy to work in a diverse environment, with lots of different colleagues across both healthcare and the wider prison
  • Good IT skills, including MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word etc)
