We’re working with a dedicated SEN school in Redbridge that is looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and proactive Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their team this November.

This specialist setting supports children with a range of complex learning needs, including autism (ASC), speech and language difficulties, and developmental delays. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping young learners build confidence, communication, and independence through engaging, play-based learning.

The Role:

* Support children in Early Years with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), providing individualised 1:1 and small-group support

* Assist the class teacher and therapists in delivering sensory, social, and academic activities tailored to each child’s needs

* Create a nurturing and structured environment that encourages curiosity, learning, and emotional development

* Use visual aids, communication tools, and positive behaviour strategies to support engagement and understanding

Requirements:

✅ Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
✅ Up-to-date Safeguarding training
✅ Previous experience supporting SEN or Early Years children (school or nursery setting)
✅ Patient, nurturing, and upbeat personality – able to engage and motivate young learners
✅ Understanding of Autism, speech and language needs, or developmental delays is highly desirable
