History Teacher – Outstanding Secondary School (Ilford, East London)

Horizon Teachers are supporting an Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ co-educational secondary school in Ilford, East London, who are seeking a qualified History Teacher to join their team on a long-term or permanent basis, starting ASAP.

This role will begin on a long-term contract, paid to scale from day one at £194.19 – £287.97 per day (M1–UPS3 Outer London). For strong applicants, the school is open to offering a permanent contract with a salary of £40,317 – £62,496 per annum.
ECTs are warmly encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will hold QTS in History and be confident delivering engaging, well-structured lessons across KS3–KS5. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term—or potentially permanent—role within an exceptional school environment.

A talented History Teacher able to deliver outstanding lessons across KS3–KS5
Candidates holding QTS in History with strong classroom and behaviour management
A thorough understanding of the History curriculum, including GCSE and A-level specifications
