Room Leader - 2-3s Room, Gants Hill, East London

Salary: £24,000 - £27,950 (dependent on experience and contracted hours)

Great Starts Recruitment Ltd is supporting a well-established nursery in Gants Hill with the recruitment of a passionate and motivated Room Leader for their busy 2-3 years room.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practitioner ready to step up, or a current Room Leader seeking a fresh challenge in a supportive and professional environment.

• Competitive salary from £24,000 - £27,950 depending on experience and hours
• Choice of 7.5 or 8.5 hour shifts, rota’d between 7am - 7pm (rota given at least a week in advance)
• 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays and your birthday off
• Year-round position (50 weeks per year)

• Leading the 2-3 years room and guiding a team of practitioners
• Delivering high-quality care and age-appropriate learning opportunities
• Creating a stimulating and safe environment where children can thrive
• Ensuring compliance with safeguarding and EYFS standards
• Building strong partnerships with families and colleagues

• Level 3 (or above) qualification in Early Years Education/Childcare
• Previous experience with children aged 2-3, ideally in a leadership role
• Excellent knowledge of the EYFS framework
• Paediatric First Aid Certificate (desirable)
• Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check if not already registered on the Update Service
• Confident team leader with strong organisational and communication skills
• Passionate about delivering the very best outcomes for children
