Are you a warm, professional communicator with a passion for excellent customer service? We are seeking a friendly and efficient Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our care home. In this key front-of-house role, you’ll ensure every visitor, resident and colleague receives first‑class service and a positive experience. As part of the reception and administrative team, you’ll help create a safe, welcoming and well‑organised environment.
You’ll carry out a range of reception and administrative duties to support the smooth running of the home.
- Answering telephone enquiries professionally, helpfully and promptly to agreed standards.
- Welcoming visitors and providing accurate information in a courteous and timely manner.
- Monitoring on‑site CCTV to maintain security.
- Keeping the reception area tidy, welcoming and stocked with relevant information.
- Accurately inputting data onto the Unit’s systems within set timescales.
- Supporting the Manager and Administrator with ad hoc administrative and clerical tasks.
- Experience in a professional administrative or similar role.
- Qualification in Business Management/Administration (or similar).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word.
- A self‑motivated, proactive and team‑focused approach.
- Ability to prioritise, multitask and work under pressure, with commercial awareness and a positive, can‑do attitude.

This is a 39‑hour per week fixed‑term role (12 months), working 8am–5pm Monday to Thursday and 8am–4pm Friday. The role is primarily based at our Redbridge Campus in Ilford (IG2 6JH
), with our new Redbridge Campus due to open in early summer 2026 (IG4 5LN
).
