CDL Class A Truck Driver

Compensation: $62,400 - $72,800+ per year ($30-$35/hr DOE).

Boyds J and C Construction is seeking a skilled and dependable CDL Class A Truck Driver to join our field operations team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a wide range of commercial trucks.

• Safely operate various types of trucks, including tractor‑trailers, dump trucks, side dumps, flatbeds, belly dumps, and equipment trailers.
• Perform accurate pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
• Transport equipment and materials to designated project sites efficiently and safely.
• Properly load and unload equipment and product using correct techniques and safety practices.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, field crews, and customers to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA, DOT, and all company safety regulations.
• Perform minor preventative maintenance as needed and report vehicle issues promptly.

• CDL Class A license with no restrictions (Required).
• Minimum 1–2 years of commercial driving experience (preferred).
• Clean driving record; no serious moving violations within the past 36 months.
• Must be insurable and able to pass pre‑employment and random drug testing.
• Familiarity with OSHA, DOT, and other government regulations related to safe working conditions.
• Ability to operate vehicles and shift properly.
• Mechanical aptitude for minor preventative maintenance.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions (heat and cold).
