Location: Troy
A healthcare facility in Troy, seeking a skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse with strong critical thinking and leadership abilities to provide exceptional patient care in the surgical setting. This contract position requires working collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR teams to manage all aspects of perioperative nursing care while adhering to professional and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule surgical cases and ensure all necessary supplies are prepared and available
- Maintain timeliness and efficiency of surgical procedures
- Communicate effectively with patient families and update physician preference cards
- Serve as scrub or circulating nurse during surgical cases
- Supervise personnel delivering direct patient care in the OR setting
- Comply with hospital policies, physician orders, and the State Nurse Practice Act
Experience:
- Current Idaho RN license or multi-state RN license (must be attached)
- ACLS and BLS certifications through the American Heart Association (must be attached)
- Minimum 3 years of recent OR nursing experience in a hospital environment
- Experience preferred in general surgery, Da Vinci robotic surgery, orthopedic and robotic knee replacement, trauma, and neuro cases
- Ability to work day shifts Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with one call day per week and one weekend call per month
