OR Registered Nurse | Genesee, Idaho

Location: Genesee

A Registered Nurse with Operating Room specialization is sought for a contract opportunity in Genesee,  role requires expertise in perioperative nursing, working closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other OR staff to ensure optimal patient care. The nurse will coordinate surgical case scheduling, manage supplies, facilitate timely procedures, update surgeon preference cards, scrub and circulate during surgeries, and supervise the care team's performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and schedule surgical cases efficiently.
• Maintain proper inventory and readiness of surgical supplies.
• Ensure timely start and flow of surgical cases.
• Communicate surgical updates to patient families.
• Update and maintain physician preference cards for surgical procedures.
• Provide direct patient care by scrubbing and circulating in surgeries.
• Supervise and support personnel delivering patient care within the OR.

Qualifications and

Experience:

• Current Idaho RN license or an active multi-state RN license.
• American Heart Association ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Minimum of 3 years recent experience as an OR RN in a hospital setting.
• Experience in General Surgery; familiarity with DaVinci robotic surgery highly preferred.
• Additional experience in Orthopedics, robotic knee replacement, trauma, and neurosurgery is advantageous.
• Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership skills.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• Day shift: 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
• On-call one weekday per week and one weekend per month
