Position SummaryAll Registered Nurses (RN) are responsible and accountable for independently caring for a group of assigned patients for a designated timeframe. They deliver care to acutely ill patients through assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. Provide patient care and assist physicians in the Emergency, Surgery, Outpatient, OB, and Medical/Surgical departments based on training and certification.
Essential Duties- Utilize the nursing process to develop and maintain a care plan for each patient.
- Conduct assessments, identify and address patient needs, and plan discharges.
- Initiate physician orders, implement standing orders and protocols when appropriate.
- Administer medications, blood products, and treatments per physician orders and hospital policy.
- Record and report patient data, document information in the EHR, and communicate patient status verbally.
- Assist providers with outpatient procedures.
- Maintain knowledge of instruments, supplies, and equipment across departments.
- Support and oversee ER techs and CNAs, including providing support on holidays and weekends to ensure routine duties are completed.
