Position SummaryOversee all operations within the Install Department including hiring, training and career development of all staff while maintaining the quality and safety of all crews. Sets budgets and reviews projects regarding profitability, efficiency and quality. Establishes and maintains relationships with clients and others to promote Franz Witte in all areas.
What You Will Do:- Responsible for recruiting, hiring, training and continually evaluating performance of the new and existing Install Department employees for compliance with established company policies, procedures, objectives and contributions in achieving objectives.
- Support these employees through leadership, communication and guidance in day to day activities.
- Monitor all existing and new construction projects, leads and proposals for projects through directing and reviewing Project Managers in their work.
- Design/negotiate and build projects as well as manager other Project Managers to meet department sales goals.
- Work directly with Project Managers regarding staffing for construction crews and equipment needed to meet those goals.
- Be involved with scheduling construction crews and projects to maximize revenue as well as efficiency.
- Professionally represent the Install Department within the company as well as to the public.
- Be involved in industry and/or community in a way that benefits you and the company.
- Professional and personable appearance and attitude.
- Represent and promote the company at social, political, industry association and other functions related to business.
- Extensive experience in landscape installation – estimating, selling and building
- Extensive knowledge of contracting, bidding, and negotiating
- Construction, irrigation, plant and equipment knowledge
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of industry, associated fields, and company history
- Strong leadership, management, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures
- Strong understanding of financials and profitability
- Experience in policy making and developing and implementing new procedures
- Ability to develop financial plans and manage resources
- The desire to continually learn more.
