Pavilion Stagehand

The Sun Valley Resort in Idaho is hiring for a Pavilion Stagehand
. The candidate will be a primary technician for the amphitheater during the summer, from approximately mid May through mid September.

• Provide support for visiting art groups and touring performers to present their events
• Work closely with visiting riggers and other technicians
• Act as a technician for events produced in-house and facilitate visiting engineers as necessary
• Set up, operate, and break down lighting, sound systems, and staging
• Tech work indoors and outdoors, on the ground or at a tall height
• Maintenance of technical systems as needed
• Occasionally provide technical support for other Resort events, including the Sun Valley Pavilion
• Assist with additional responsibilities as needed, including maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of the venue
• Assist in the maintenance and repair of equipment and venue technical systems as needed

• Be able to operate basic theatrical audio and lighting systems
• Standard rigging and safety experience
• Be comfortable working at heights and the usage and maintenance of chain hoists
• Basic understanding of computer-based operations, functions and programs, such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and other MS Office applications
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and nights
• Be organized and self-motivated
• Follow safety requirements and implement safety procedures
• Possess a friendly, cheerful, proactive, and helpful attitude
• Work well with a group, provide appropriate leadership, and be comfortable in a fast-moving, dynamic work environment
• Engage in physical activities like standing for long periods, walking, and utilizing hands for tasks that involve gripping, handling, poking, and reaching

Can safely lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
