Position Overview

Reporting to Operations Leadership, the Encompass Developer is responsible for supporting and enhancing the organization’s Loan Origination System (LOS) as the system of record. This role focuses on hands‑on system development, configuration updates, release execution, and enhancement cycles that align with evolving business needs and strategic initiatives.

The role ensures the stability, scalability, and performance of the LOS by identifying improvement opportunities, optimizing system functionality, and ensuring alignment with regulatory, operational, and business requirements.

In addition, the position collaborates closely with cross‑functional teams to strengthen integrations across the technology ecosystem. This includes supporting development efforts, validating end‑to‑end process impacts, and contributing to data governance and quality initiatives to ensure accurate, efficient, and compliant loan processing workflows. The role also participates in long‑term technology roadmap discussions, representing LOS needs and contributing to system evolution.

Core Functions and Responsibilities
  • Execute system configuration, development work, and enhancements within Encompass to support business and operational requirements.
  • Participate in enterprise projects and initiatives, including updates to Broker and Borrower portals and related technology platforms.
  • Support governance and change‑management processes for LOS development and maintenance to ensure consistency, reliability, and compliance.
  • Analyze system workflows, data flows, and operational processes to identify optimization opportunities, strengthen controls, and improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Support data review, movement, mapping, and integrity efforts across systems and teams to ensure accurate end‑to‑end processing.
  • Act as an escalation point for system‑related questions, assisting with troubleshooting, data issues, reporting needs, and workflow behavior.
  • Develop and maintain user‑facing materials such as job aids, user guides, and procedural documentation.
  • Stay current on industry trends, mortgage LOS best practices, emerging technologies, and changes that impact data management or system capabilities.
  • Build strong working relationships across the organization to support alignment on system strategy, enhancements, and operational needs.
  • Adhere to company policies, regulatory requirements, audit standards, and compliance expectations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of hands‑on experience with Encompass, including configuration, administration, and workflow management.
  • Experience working within LOS environments and collaborating with technical and business needs.

Compensation and Benefits

Hiring Range: $120K-$140K

Compensation within this range may vary based on each candidate’s job‑related expertise, skills, and experience. Final offers are determined individually, reflecting the unique qualifications of each candidate.
