• Follow established procedures for laboratory quality control and report discrepancies to the supervisor.
• Perform accurate testing of specimens according to laboratory protocols.
• Maintain and calibrate instruments and equipment as needed.
• Report test results timely and accurately.
• Troubleshoot issues with instruments, reagents, or specimens and escalate if unresolved.
• Follow safety policies, including universal precautions and handling biohazards.
• Perform phlebotomy procedures as required.
• Participate in shared on-call duties.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
• Maintain regular attendance.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff.

• Experience in testing specimens accurately.
• Associate's degree in a relevant science (Bachelor's preferred).
• MLT (ASCP) or equivalent registration, or completion of an accredited technician training program.
• Six months internship preferred.
• Four months clinical internship preferred.
• Certification such as ASCP is preferred.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize.
• Familiarity with EMR systems and data entry.
