Pharmacy Project Tech – St. Mary's Health & Clearwater Valley Health
This is a joint position that supports department operations and pharmacy care.
Essential Job Functions- Coordinating and performing project‑related needs, including reporting, research, meetings, and committee work.
- Providing administrative support such as scheduling staff and managing departmental documentation.
- Auditing inter‑ and intra‑departmental processes and completing audit requests from external entities.
- Participating in SOP development and posting.
- Assisting in the development and training of pharmacy technicians.
- Performing the duties of a Certified Pharmacy Technician, including inventory and supply management.
- Communicating effectively with customers and co‑workers in person, in writing, and on telephone.
- Maintaining comprehensive knowledge of department functions and processes.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
- Familiar with standard pharmacy concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Using experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Following hospital exposure control plans, blood‑borne and airborne pathogen protocols, and HIPAA regulations.
- Ensuring regular and predictable attendance.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Graduation from a Pharmacy Technician training program or equivalent.
- Pharmacy Technician license with the Idaho Board of Pharmacy.
- Hired as of 6/1/2009, CPhT required.
- Minimum 2 years experience as a pharmacy technician.
- Demonstrated expertise in pharmacy systems.
- Demonstrated computer skills including keyboarding and data entry into software programs.
- BLS required.
- Facilities operate 24/7; availability for all shifts, weekends, and holidays may be required.
- Clinic locations may have varying hours – availability for all shifts, weekends, and holidays as appropriate.
- Typical interior work environment.
- Maintain standing and/or sitting position.
- Remain on feet 8–12 hours per shift.
- Lift and move up to 50 lb.
- Frequent stooping, bending, reaching, lifting, and pushing heavy equipment up to 50 lb.
- Read charts, dials, equipment settings, literature, and handwritten materials.
- Work with equipment and computers (keyboarding).
