Job Title: Intermediate Scheduler/Planner (Mining Construction | EVMS Support)
Company: AcceleratedPM
Job Type: Rotational (2 weeks on/2 weeks off)
Job Location: Yellow Pine, Idaho
Work Schedule: Typically 12-hour shifts when on rotation
Accelerated
PM is seeking an intermediate Scheduler/Planner to support heavy civil construction execution at an antimony mining site. This is a hands‑on, field‑embedded scheduling role operating in a logistics‑constrained environment with multiple contractors and tight interface points. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate, logic‑driven schedules in Primavera P6, driving disciplined status collection, and producing reliable look‑aheads and variance narratives that enable decision‑making at the site level.
This role reports to the Master Scheduler, who owns the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS); you will own the quality and timeliness of field schedule inputs that roll up into the IMS and support Earned Value/EVMS performance measurement and reporting cadence.
- Rotational assignment: 14 days on/14 days off
- On‑site during rotation; extended shift days (12 hrs), including weekends as required by project needs
- Work environment includes active construction areas and office/trailer settings; PPE requirements apply
- Maintain and update assigned area/discipline portions of the project schedule in Primavera P6 (e.g., civils/earthworks, concrete, structural, utilities, mechanical/electrical installation, commissioning).
- Develop logic‑driven plans that reflect real construction sequencing, access constraints, and contractor handoffs - ensuring the schedule is executable.
- Lead routine schedule coordination with field supervision and contractor leads to confirm progress, remove ambiguity, and secure clear commitments (owners and dates) for upcoming work.
- Produce actionable look‑ahead schedules (e.g., 2-week, 6-week, and 90-day) and coordinate constraint removal planning (materials, permits, access windows, inspections, equipment/crane time, laydown, haul/logistics, weather impacts, workforce availability).
- Validate reported progress through field verification where required (physical percent complete, quantity‑based progress, inspections/signoffs, turnover readiness).
- Identify critical path and near‑critical path drivers within your scope; elevate impacts, conflicts, and recovery options through the Master Scheduler and site leadership.
- Support baseline integrity and change control by documenting logic changes, scope shifts, and emerging constraints; provide clear schedule impact statements and recommended recovery actions for review/approval.
- Provide EVMS support by aligning schedule status and progress measures to the performance measurement baseline, including:
1) Accurate actuals and remaining duration updates consistent with earned value progress rules,
2) Quantity‑based or milestone‑based progress inputs (as applicable), and
3) Variance drivers and narrative explaining schedule performance impacts and forecast risks. - Coordinate with cost controls/CAMs (if applicable) to ensure schedule status, earned value progress, and reporting narratives are consistent and defensible.
- Maintain strong schedule hygiene and governance within your scope (WBS alignment, calendars, activity coding, constraints discipline, progress rules, and quality checks).
- Prepare weekly dashboards, narratives, and review materials for Master Scheduler‑led IMS updates and client/site reporting.
- 5–10 years of planning/scheduling experience supporting heavy civil, mining, or industrial construction projects.
- Strong hands‑on proficiency in Primavera P6 (updates, logic, baselines, calendars, coding, layouts, schedule integrity).
- Working knowledge of Earned Value Management/EVMS concepts and how schedule status ties to performance measurement (progress measurement, baseline discipline, variance awareness).
- Proven ability to interface directly with construction supervision and subcontractors – able to drive clarity, follow‑through, and accountability without creating friction.
- Solid understanding of construction sequencing and…
