The Electro‑Mechanical Quality Test Technician is responsible for performing final test and inspection duties on Low and Medium Voltage Electrical Distribution Equipment – Switchgears, Switchboards, and Breakers – for our Retrofit team on the 1st shift in Wendell, NC.

6:00 am – 2:30 pm
Hourly Rate: $24.79
Responsibilities- Perform final electro‑mechanical inspections on units, ensuring adherence to company quality standards and guidelines.
- Conduct nondestructive tests on equipment according to specifications and drawings, troubleshoot failures, and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare and maintain inspection and quality reports, working professionally with Engineering and Wirers during tests and reporting findings.
- Adhere to Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety policies, with a commitment to continuous improvement and strong teamwork.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Management.
Basic Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in testing, inspecting, and troubleshooting electrical equipment.
- Ability to conduct thorough final inspections on all electrical equipment, ensuring precision and attention to detail.
- Experience with various test equipment, including Hi‑pot testing.
- Proficiency in reading schematic drawings, layouts, and wire lists for circuit troubleshooting.
- Basic proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without needing future employer sponsorship.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
- Residential or commercial electrical education or certifications.

The pay range for this position is $24.79 per hour. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
