Salary: $132,000 / year

Hours:

Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, 40 Hours/ Week

Summary of Duties

• Generate business for Siemens Photovoltaic inverters and inverter-stations portfolio that includes String inverter, Central inverters, and Inverter skids and associated services such as preventative maintenance, commissioning, etc.
• Prepare competitively priced customer proposals based on technology market dynamics, incorporating Siemens solutions that best fit customers’ needs.
• Participate in the design of stand-alone and semi-complex package solutions of inverters and inverter stations and the general proposal package of Solar Photovoltaic (PV) inverters, AD/DC storage applications both in String and Centralized topology.
• Work with product development to ensure compliance of the product against customer requirements and provide inputs on market trends for product development.
• Collaborate with the services organization to offer service solutions related to the products offered.
• Track semi-complex orders to ensure equipment, cost, and delivery objectives are met by responding to customers quickly and efficiently.
• Maintain records of semi-complex specification costs and price estimates.
• Participate in technical, commercial, contractual, and legal negotiations to ensure a significant proportion of bids convert to orders.
• Up to 25% domestic travel required. Hybrid work permitted.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered, or as a Sales Engineer, Business Development Manager, or an acceptable alternate occupation.
• Two (2) years of work experience in the Electrical Industry or Solar Industry.
• Experience reading single-line drawings, three-line drawings, basic General arrangement drawings and site layout drawings.
• Proficient with Microsoft Visio and the ability to generate electrical and layout drawings with MS Visio.
• Solar Power Plant experience from Generation (PV modules) to Point of Interconnection (POI).
• Experience in a customer-facing role in the sales field.
• Product knowledge on BOP items in a Solar plant, such as AC/DC Combiners and MV Transformers.
• Proficiency in PVSyst.
• Up to 25% domestic travel required. Hybrid work permitted.
