The Castleford School District is looking for a full‑time accounts receivable/accounts payable bookkeeper and board clerk. The successful candidate will manage the district and student body’s financial accounts for receivables and payables in compliance with the Superintendent’s instructions, school board policies, and applicable laws and regulations. Responsibilities include providing professional support to enhance operational effectiveness, supporting staff to improve learning standards, promoting high business ethics within the administrative function, and ensuring all financial transactions are properly processed.
Responsibilities- Maintain accurate accounts receivable and accounts payable records.
- Process invoices, payments, and reimbursements.
- Prepare and reconcile financial reports.
- Assist with budget monitoring and fund accounting.
- Collaborate with staff, peers, and supervisors to support district operations.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Participate in board clerk duties, such as preparing meeting minutes and maintaining records.
- Associate’s degree in accounting or a related field is preferred.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Experience with AP/AR in a school district or private sector preferred.
- Understanding of fund accounting or willingness to receive training.
- Proficiency with financial software; preference for experience using Skyward.
- Must be trustworthy, flexible, and able to work in a fast‑paced environment with frequent interruptions.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to work collaboratively.
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
