Responsibilities
  • Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
  • Perform general and detailed repair of trucks, engines, and components.
  • Overhaul gasoline or diesel engines.
  • Install injectors, pistons, liners, camshafts, cylinder heads, rod and main bearings, oil pans, clutches, fan hubs, differentials, fifth wheels, brakes, battery recharge / replacement, and transmissions.
  • Read job orders, observe vehicles in operation to diagnose malfunctions, and plan work procedures.
  • Examine protective guards, loose bolts, and safety devices on trucks and make necessary adjustments.
  • Lubricate moving parts and verify vehicle performance after repair.
  • Tag warranty parts and return them to the warranty clerk.
  • Attend training classes and stay current with factory technical bulletins.
  • Build and maintain positive customer relationships to increase satisfaction.

Basic Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
  • Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus).
  • Peterbilt, International, Ford, Hino, Isuzu, Cummins, and/or ASE certifications preferred and rewarded.
